Armorial bookplate of Wilmot, Viscount Lisburne; probably Welsh landowner and Irish peer Wilmot Vaughan, 3rd Viscount Lisburne (c. 1695-1766). First edition of this translation by Thomas Leland (1722-1785) of the ancient Athenian statesman and orator. Leland became Professor of Oratory at Trinity College, Dublin, in 1763. The map is ‘Tabula Cosmographica Graeciae Antiquae’, possibly engraved by Thomas Jefferys. ESTC T138463
