Copper engraving, 16.5 x 20.5 cm, recent hand-colour, blank verso. A map of Gloucestershire first published in 1746 to accompany Thomas Read’s English Traveller, the plates were acquired by John Rocque and re-issued as The Small British Atlas in various editions from 1753. After Rocque’s death the maps made a final appearance, illustrating England Displayed in 1769.
