This map of Paris was printed locally by the German military governor for German servicemen on leave in the occupied city, and both map and guide focus on typical tourist sights.
Features connected with the occupation (such as police headquarters or military hospitals) are not marked; and there is no résumé of rules and regulations, for example concerning fraternisation. German soldiers in Paris were encouraged to savour victory through a spot of sightseeing.
