    Franz Schott (1548-1622) was a Flemish jurist who worked with his brother, the classical scholar and historian Andreas Schott, on a guide for travellers in Italy which was first published by Moretus in Antwerp in 1600.  It was enormously popular, and translated into Italian, English and French.
