The Hindustan Review (vol 21, 1910) noted: ‘though there are many railway maps of India, we have no hesitation in commending as the very best the one prepared and published by Mr J.H. Trott, Station Master in Bilaspur, in the Central Provinces’.
The earliest edition we have located to date is from 1909. The main map is surrounded by inset maps and tables, including environs maps of major subcontinental cities and a world map showing the principal ‘highways’ by rail and sea.
