Copper engraving, 43 x 27 cm, black and white, restoration to elaborate border dividing the two images (3 x 0.4 cm hole neatly closed), blank verso; from 'Isolario dell'Atlante Veneto', perhaps the last of the great Italian ‘island books’. If Coronelli’s St Paul’s differs somewhat from the cathedral we know, it is worth bearing in mind that Wren’s building only came into use in 1697 and was officially completed in 1708.
