    The London General Omnibus Company was by this point owned by the Underground Group. This map shows an early attempt at transport integration, with the text on the verso advertising through-travel (tickets valid on both Underground and bus routes).  Read more

    Bus and LGOC employees had volunteered or had been conscripted for wartime service, and although many women had been recruited to work on the buses the frequency and number of routes had been reduced. So too had the number of maps, with just two issues per year.

    12 panel passenger map, printed area measures 30 x 45.3 cm. Printed in three colours (black, red and green) on wartime economy paper. Some toning, a couple of small holes at fold intersections, text on verso.  Read less
