This is a scholarly edition of Longus' influential pastoral prose romance.

4to. pp. [xx], 148, [ii], 121, [xxi]. Greek text with parallel Latin translation, with notes and commentray in the second part. Old repair to lower margin and corner of final leaf, affecting a couple of letters of text. Contemporary marbled sheep, gilt spine, some wear to extremities and upper joint, Dutch marbled pastedowns. Edited by Petrus Moll (1596-1669) of Sneek or Snits.
