St Paul’s Cathedral from Ludgate Hill

‘London as it is’ was printed for Boys by the pioneering lithographer Charles Hullmandel in two distinct versions: ours was originally sepia tinted, but a deluxe version was coloured by hand and mounted in a portfolio.

Condition & Materials

Aquatint, 43.5 x 31 cm, later (but not recent) hand colour, blank verso; removed from an old frame with the line of the mount still visible in the margins, and some old glue residue showing through.
