Hand-coloured engraved frontispiece, engraved title, engraved dedication to the Duke of Wellington and 51 hand-coloured aquatint plates, occasional minor marginal spotting but generally a clean example; text leaves on Whatman paper, watermarked 1812 as usual, with plates watermarked 1825 and 1834; later nineteenth-century red half morocco by Bumpus, rebacked, preserving original spine. Armorial bookplate of Sir David Salomons of Broomhills, now the Salomons Museum (either the first Baronet, a key campaigner for Jewish emancipation and the first Jewish MP to speak in Parliament, or his nephew the second Baronet, a scientist and engineer).
