Edward Wallis inherited his father’s business in 1818 and continued to publish geographical games and puzzles as well as more conventional maps such as this one.
Condition & Materials
Engraved folding plan of London, printed area measures 52.5 x 61 cm. Dissected into 20 panels and laid on linen, original hand colour, one or two trivial spots and stains, slight wear. Folds into worn original slipcase with printed publisher’s label and bookseller’s ticket.
