James Duport’s translation was first published in 1665 and adapted from the 1638 translation of Elias Petley. There are only four institutional copies, at the National Library of Wales, University of York and University of Melbourne; the first example has an additional 4 pages of publisher’s advertisements at the end, while the latter may be incomplete (collation given as pp. [4], 325). 12mo. pp. [xl], 327, [i]. Title-pages for Book of Common Prayer and Psalms, together with the text, entirely in Greek. Contemporary calf, somewhat worn and faded but sound. Presentation inscription, ‘with J.B. Murray’s kind regards,’ dated 1842. Unidentified armorial bookplate surmounted by bishop’s mitre.
