    This map is coloured to show the manufacturing towns, districts, and collieries to which the GCR had access. It also shows proven and concealed coalfields, with an inset section through ‘concealed coal measures’ running east from Barnesly and Doncaster to Market Rasen (the Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire coalfield).  The lines of the Great Central Railway, linking these centres of industry with the wider world, are printed in bold.  Read more

    Lithographed map, printed area measurement 69.5 x 94.5 cm, sheet size 74 x 98.5 cm, printed in colours, a couple of short splits and tears, trivial spotting, blank verso.
