Stingemore Maps – Collect the Set

My friend Einar has devised an ingenious visual aid for anyone confused by Fred Stingemore’s series of London Underground passenger maps. I wrote about Stingemore and his maps a few months ago. Produced between 1925 and 1932 they are the immediate predecessors of Harry Beck’s diagram, and they don’t always carry helpful information such as dates.

Einar writes, with considerable justification, “I have noticed how people may be disorientated on the internet if they try to figure out how many Stingemore Card maps there really are, or indeed which one they have... I have, therefore, made the accompanying flowchart.”

We’ve been destruction testing it, and it works!
