On a scroll in the lower left of the map, the GWR’s system is described as ‘adequately equipped for the conveyance of merchandise, mineral and live stock traffic’.

Folding lithographed map, 95 x 95 cm, dissected into 32 panels and laid on linen, folding into slightly rubbed publisher’s blue cloth covers; dated June 1909 at the foot of the advertisement on the pastedown. Ownership signatures of W.Park(?) to cover and pastedown; another owner, EWH Powell, is named in block capitals. Read less
